Industry accolade for Warner Lakes!
Outstanding planning, design and a commitment to the environment and community has earned Peet Limited’s Warner Lakes the Residential Subdivision Award at the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Queensland Awards for Excellence.
Warner Lakes is a premium masterplanned community by Peet Limited – Australia’s largest specialist residential land developer. Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said it was a great honour to receive the UDIA accolade for this special project.
“It’s an exciting project that has been well received by the market – proving there is good demand for well-located, quality residential communities,” said Mr Gore.
“Warner Lakes has established itself as one of the most popular residential developments in Brisbane with more than 1,200 homesites sold since the first release in 2004.”
Located 17 kilometres north of Brisbane, Warner Lakes is a strong and vibrant community with homebuyers attracted to its location, quality homesites and services, and range of public open spaces which offer a healthy, relaxed and spacious lifestyle.
Residents have convenient access to a range of shopping, education and community facilities as well as excellent rail and bus links.
The centrepiece of the community, a $10 million 20-hectare lakes precinct has recently been completed providing residents and the surrounding community a beautifully landscaped series of lakes, parks, walking trails and playground areas.
In addition, 14 kilometres of cycle paths make the lakes precinct, the various parks and playgrounds throughout the development, and the beautifully regenerated Four Mile Creek easily accessible to all the lucky residents.
The great variety of housing options at Warner Lakes also respond to the Queensland climate and laid back lifestyle in terms of design, materials, sustainability, safety, security and overall aesthetic appeal.
“Through careful planning, Peet is preserving the existing natural assets at Warner Lakes, undertaking extensive rehabilitation works and has designed an urban environment which is both sensitive to the natural environment and provides for a sustainable future,” said Mr Gore.
“But more than just a quality designed and planned estate, Warner Lakes has a strong focus on community life, providing opportunities for local families to come together, socialise and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
The program of community activities include planting events, family fun days, a Mother’s group and a recently introduced fitness program for community members.
“We’re very proud of what is being achieved at Warner Lakes and this award is great recognition from the industry of the hard work and dedication of our project team,” he said.
“It will also only add to the already high level of pride the residents of Warner Lakes have in their community.”
